 Khir Ganga is a small village set up through out the summers in Himachal Pradesh. It is open for 7 months in a year from March thru October. It is only accessible by foot. It is a beautiful day trek on a narrow cliff side path going by numerous waterfalls and few isolated villages. There is usually about 30-50 people at the village site during the high season 

 Dehnasar Lake is a high-altitude freshwater lake in Chota Bhangal (MULTHAN) , in the Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. This is a concurrent place for Kullu, Kangra and Mandi and people gathered 20th of Bhadrapada or Bhaado for the holy bath. (mainly during the last week of August or first week of September.  

Dehnasar Lake lies at 4,280 metres (14,040 ft) above mean sea level, in Kangra district. It is near Barot and Joginder Nagar in Mandi district.

The lake is situated beside rocky cliffs at the top of the mountain and derives its water from melted snow. It lies frozen under a thick coat of snow during winters. Blizzards and hailstorms are common due to high altitude.

Joginder Nagar, the nearest major town, is 45+7 kilometers away from the lake, while Barot is 12 km away. Alternate way to reach this place by Thaltukhod . This is longer than by Lohardi.

Before starting your trekk government also provide a Forest rest house at Swar village which lies right bank of Lumbadug river, major tributary of Uhl river. 

Temporary accommodations and tents are raised near the location of the lake during the pilgrimage season that falls in July to September every year. Shepherds are commonly sighted along the trek during pilgrimage, as well as rare herbs and flowers.[citation needed]

The base location to trek uphill towards the lake is at Polling village, 9 km northwards Barot which is accessible by road up to Lohardi. The moderately difficult, 14-km, uphill trek opens after June and closes after September.

Trekking via Lohardi is the most commonly used and shortest due to its steep gradient. The Thaltukhod trek is more lengthy and time consuming due to gentler slopes. The lake is approachable through another trek that starts from the opposite side of Kullu Valley. It can take more than 3 days to complete to and fro journey using this route.

 Bagsiad is a small town which is a central area for two village panchayats in tehsil Thunag of Seraj constituency in district Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.13th Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur has completed his schooling from government school in this town.  

Koksar is one of the villages in Lahaul Mandal in Lahaulspiti District in Himachal Pradesh state in Northern India. About 19 km from Rohtang Pass, and 7kms from North Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang. Koskar is the coldest place in Lahaul. It is mostly snowed in during winters but during the summer months, the PWD Rest House and Eating places are in business. Isolated mountain areas, panoramic picturesque views and pathways for hiking can be seen. It is 340 km from its state capital Shimla and 70 km from Manali.

Nearby villages are Tailing (7.0 km) and Sissu (13.0 km).

Earlier BSNL Mobile Network was the only working network in the valley. Nearest petrol pump is at Tandi (40 km from Koksar) which is a sole filling station in the entire valley.
